I screwed around a few years tattooing on and off ( not professionally ) of course I did have pro equipment and guidance through friends that were in the profession. Sterilization, use of their clave. techniques, ect.ect I finally started an official apprenticeship at Wolfmans Tattoos in Circleville, Ohio for about 6-7 months. he was one of the people That really encouraged me to get into this business. unfortunately. Wolfie died soon after I started my apprenticeship. I lost a good friend as well as a good teacher. ( Rest in peace my brother ) I have looked for another shop to get into to finish training but haven't had much luck in the local area. I still tattoo, but haven't gotten into a shop yet. I am seriously considering opening my own shop, I have a lot of clients ,encouraging me to do it. Well thats about it. Thanks for your time Dave

Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts	BOUT TIME I GOT IN HERE sheesh...i thought id have a couple of birthdays b4 i got in...anyway.my name is ethan a.k.a. sinbad. ive been tattooing for around four yrs solidly .i got jacked on my apprenticeship then studied on my own..it was a nightmare.i didnt mind learning old school ways but not gettin hooked up after the app.was over and not makin a fukin dime and being better than the other artists it really was time to leave.have ownesd my shop(sinbads psycho skin art) for bout 7 yrs now.ok youre sayin you just said youve only been tattooing for 4.i have a shop in upstate ny(lake george) and its basically seasonal at best (4 mos)outta the yr.so ive known how to tattoo for 7 applied it 4...k.most recently had 4 1st place wins at am-jam tat conv. and am an apt member.love black n grey ,color bombs,and custom. ive been drawing since i could hold a pencil. i like workin with all mediums in art.clay metal,wood,glass,etc. i love bass fishin and women...not in that order ..and music. i sing,play guitar ,bass,keys,harmonica.have a cd out.and thats about it.i am glad to have finally gotten in. i hope i can be of help and learn as well with the rest of ya.thanx for havin me see ya in the forums!!

'm self taught, however i try to get as much as possible tips from the studios where i buy my equipment, from www, zines etc.. Started doing tat2s 4 years ago, but two of'em passed by with a self-made-small-engine-crappy-machine (which ran not so bad and did its job neatly enogh) . now use Zak-macheen (hey Scandinavians!, many of Dima Zak's guns went to you, your impressions plz?). Now 'm collecting money for app-ship by Zak and his staff. hope to learn here from You all more about tat2ing an maybe share pieces of my Xperience w/ You ps: damm, due to a long-long time i wasn't let in read the forum - some good ideas appeared in my pumpkin...but they are for specforum

I had a intensive and unorthadoxed apprentiship for a year and a half and have now been tattooing on my own for five solid non stop years, seven days a week. I spend butt loads of time trying to get legistlation concerning tattooing in my state of Idaho, with no luck so far. Oh well. cause I will just keep on tattooing and hoping for the best here, I am also a painter and sculpter and muralist, when I have little bits o time. I am also a mom of two. I call myself 'prison taught' because thats where I first found a knack for being able to sling ink into myself first. Then into a few close acquaintences. Mostly to just have a foreign body to work on. But then later (after reading up on how the real world machines work) to hopefully present myself with some kind of employment. Everyone I know in this rat race called life strive for some kind of job that they actually love to do. Well , this is what I love to do. So maybe instead of growing dope I can get into the art of tattooing. Anyways, Hello! I'll be around ,reading mostly until I find my voice. Or until I just have to say something to someone. Either way , hello!

I've been reading it from time to time for quite a whilt now. Off and on that is. I've been a gunsmith/dealer for the 'Ummph' of my life, but have always had a knack for the imagination required to produce unique pieces of art. Now today, known to the tattooing world as 'flash'. So like I was saying, up until the time here in CA, where gunsmithing and especially gun dealing became a non-profitable buissness I've been forced elsewhere. And what a joyous journey into the world of body art it has been. Anyways, I'm Inkstabber. Dumb name indeed, but inkdemon and I think even inkslanger were taken. So inkstabber will do for now. I'll be seeing you folks around the posts. Once again OZ, thanks for the key.

I work at Extreme Ink in White Plains, although I've worked at shops all throughout NYC-Andromeda, Medusa, Inkstop, Cutting Edge. You get the picture. Most shops in the city are good money, but the owners are shit. Nontattoo artists who are in it just for the money. I went to art school, I've painted covers for albums, been in galleries, done political cartoons, t-shirt art, flyer art, ad art, ect. I've interviewed with DC comics twice (liked my stuff, no work). I've been tattooing about 4 years, and I do a realistic, often horror based style.

Posts: 0 (08/11/03 04:18:30) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts	Hi i am new here and my name is Brad. i started tattooing in the penitentiary 8 years ago and now I am out tattooing .My uncle used to own Breezy's tattoo studio till he got in some trouble then it went down the drain .But I did learn alot off of him ,and being in the joint (trail by error )i am now starting to get the swing of things and learning the different inks and needles and such but not messing anyone up!Whoops i did forget I did mess someone up by using sumi black as a shading ink!( )NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!ANyway just to let yall know who i am i will be here for awhile so get used to it !
